Suzuka Nakamoto was born in Hiroshima City, Japan, on 20 December 1997, the youngest of three sisters.
Training as a talent from the time she could remember, she was admitted to the prestigious Hiroshima ASH talent school at the age of eight and quickly became the most outstanding talent in her class.
The following year she was hired by the talent agency Amuse, and just one year later she was part of a very successful children's trio in Japan, Karen Girls, formed to sing the music for an anime that ran from 2008 to 2009. After the anime ended, Karen Girls disbanded and Suzuka began working on a teen show called Sakura Gakuin and a band that had its genesis in the show, Babymetal, a band that Suzuka fronted under the pseudonym SU-METAL. Suzuka left Sakura Gakuin in 2013 and has since dedicated herself to leading BABYMETAL to worldwide prominence.
In 2022 she is credited for the first time as a lyricist on a Babymetal song, Divine Attack.
