Biography

Gods Forsaken emerged from the depths of Stockholm in the year 2017. Formed by guitarist Anders Biazzi (ex-Amon Amarth) after the breakup of his former band "Blood Mortized". Strengthen by Jonny Pettersson (Wombbath, Ashcloud) on vocals and Brynjar Helgetund behind the drumkit, the birth of Gods Forsaken was a fact!

Their debut album "In a Pitch Black Grave" saw the light in 2017, released via Soulseller Records. 9 tracks of non-compromising classic primitive Swedish brutality. Spread across the world like a plaque, and well received with an amazing response within the Death Metal scene.

After the successful release of the debut album, Anders Biazzi already had plans and a concept for a second album. In the year 2018 Alwin Zuur (Asphyx, Grand Supreme Blood Court) and Gustav Myrin (ex-Blood Mortized) joined the Gods Forsaken hordes on guitar, and together with Anders Biazzi they started writing and working on new material.

In just 3 months Anders, Gustav and Alwin created 9 brand new massive pounding tracks, which was recorded in Sweden in October 2018. Completed with Jonny's venomous vocals and Brynjar's destructive drums. The album title of the second release "Smells of Death" says it all! Pure Swedish death metal straight from the heart, with a face melting production (Studio Unbound).

During the expansion of Gods Forsaken in 2018, the band got several offers from organizers and promotors for live shows. For this duty Pelle Ekegren (ex-Grave, ex-Coercion) stepped in to support the band at the live shows to come, and Anders will provide the bass guitar on stage.

The second Gods Forsaken album "Smells of Death" will be available from the 19th of April via Soulseller Records as CD format, as well as the classic vinyl format. Be prepared for brutal, massive no-frills chainsaw riffs, with a touch of eerie melodies, thundering drums, pounding bass and devastating growls the Jonny Pettersson way!
