Biography

The beginning:

Asmodée was created in 1997 by 3 ex-Necropolis members (R.I.P. 1994-1997). Rapha "Crevasse" -the singer- left the band after the first demo in April 1998, following illness and personnal problems. Then, Iurar became the singer/bass-player following Crevasse's leaving. After 2 session drummers, Asmodée found its actual drummer during summer 1998: Vincent Roubière. With this more stable line-up, Asmodée wrote "Errance", the second mini-CD, which has given the band a place in underground french metal. In october 2000, Iurar decided to leave the band, because he didn't care for metal anymore. Asmodée recruited Matthieu to play the bass and Koagul to sing (they were bass-player and guitar-player in L'Ombre du Saccage). Koagul left the band after a few months. Thomas sang on "Sequelles", a new promo-CD in June 2001.

A New Era:

Asmodée released its first album, "Symptômes De Ruine" (limited to 1789 copies) in October 2002. As done on the "Séquelles" demo, Thomas handled the vocal duties for the recording session. "Symptômes De Ruine" is a melting of brutal metal styles under the shape of black-metal melancholy. Many consider it "avant-garde" extreme metal.
Cyril and Nicolas (ex Arcana Dementia) were recruited as singer and second guitarist. Cyril left one year later because he didn't fit the band ...
Thomas now plays guitar and voice on stage as for the recordings: first gig with this line-up along with Cephalic Carnage, Exhumed and Inhume took place in Bordeaux.

Asmodée second album "Simulacres" was released in september 2004 and was critically acclaimed.
