Sunless Dawn present progressive metal born from a vast array of influences. Their works draw on both black and death metal in a fusion of puzzling, jazzy rhythms, dreamlike soundscapes and piercing riffs - all brought together in glorious harmony. Lyrically, they explore conflicts in the human mind relating to themes of power, science, violence, religion, the state of nature, the tragedy of freedom and the dystopian. The music plays out on a highly complex level on all fronts, and Sunless Dawn take great pride in that all that the audience hear is performed live.

Wacken Metal Battle 2016 set the stage for Sunless Dawn's first three concerts. The reception was staggering, and Sunless Dawn were sent to a gigantic concert at Wacken Open Air 2016.

'Sovereign', a leviathan of a single, clocking in at fifteen minutes, was released on digital media in early 2016. With a row of appraised concerts below the belt in 2016 and 2017, Sunless Dawn are ready to finish writing and producing the first full length release.
