Biography

Rhapsody was formed as a 4-man band back in 1974 in Sweden; the group consisted of Kjell-Åke Noren (guitar, keyboard), Benny Ahlqvist (vocals), Rudolf Janszky (bass), Torbjörn Persson (drums/percussion) before being joined by keyboardist Peter Åhs in 1977. This also turned out to be a fairly successful year for the band as they were booked for several gigs in Sweden and Scandinavia as well as touring in Hungary for a month, which saw the band perform live 25 times. They also conducted televised interviews and a radio show in Hungary. Upon the band's return to Sweden, they continued to play concerts, and Strange Vibrations became an instant hit.

Recently MTM Music decided to re-release a completely remastered Strange Vibrations, which also includes two new songs offered as bonus tracks.
