Cock And Ball Torture was founded back in early 1997 by those three lads who still keep the wheel turning after more than 15 years in existence. Shortly after the foundation the band already recorded the first songs which were a teaser of what was to come the following years: CBT became one of the forerunners of goregrind. Influenced in the beginning by bands like Gut, Hemdale, and others, the band soon developed their very unique style of groovy grind.
After great response in the worldwide underground scene from day one, the band made several EPs and split releases before releasing the first full-length, Opus(sy)VI. In support of the album CBT played several shows in their home country as well as the first European gigs in the Netherlands, Czech Republic, France and Great Britain, culminating in an appearance on the infamous Ohio Death Fest in the USA.
After feeding the ever-growing worldwide fanbase with their energy-filled live performances, the band entered the studio again in 2001 to record the follow-up to their critically acclaimed debut. The now classic second album, Sadochismo was released in 2002 coinciding with stops at several festivals like Obscene Extreme, Brutal Assault, and Fuck the Commerce. Sadochismo got overwhelming reviews in magazines and radios from all around the globe and proved once more the trailblazing status of the band within the scene. In 2003 Cock And Ball Torture signed with Morbid Records to release their third album.
Besides playing around Europe, the band recorded their next album, which saw the light in 2004. With Egoleech the band once more improved their sound and brought in new elements to hold the banners of groove-laden metal high. After playing shows around Europe in 2004 and 2005, it was time to conquer the Land of the Rising Sun in 2006. Their 4-stop Japanese tour was an enormous success for the band. Egoleech marked the last official release of new material since 2004 as the band focused on improving their sound before releasing any new material.
Although not releasing new music, 2007 saw the band returning to US soil as well as playing several headlining and festival shows in the Netherlands, Portugal and other European countries in the following years.
Still hungry and willing to conquer new grounds, as we speak, Cock And Ball Torture are preparing for touring Australia in the very beginning of 2013. It will mark their first ever visit to the land down under. Expect nothing else than bulldozing groove-laden goregrind in the way CBT is known and loved for!
