Biography
The band was founded in Rome, Italy in the spring of 1997 by Fabrizio Troiano a.k.a Faber Troy (lead guitar), Marco Migliaccio (rhythm guitar, second voice) and Gianluca Maccarone (drums).
The official line up was completed when Alessandro Valdambrini (keyboards), Emanuele Sterbini (bass) and Pino Chirico (lead vocals) joined the band permanently.
Timestorm soon started rehearsing to write new stuff and as a result of the brainstorming and writing sessions the first promo-cd was record at the “Temple of Noise” studios with Christian Ice as co-producer.
The 5 tx promo full with powerful and melodic songs granted them the record deal for the Italian label “Elevate Records” in 1998. The same label had already scouted and released the new sensation bands of Italian power metal DGM and SECRET SPHERE. In the meantime in 1999 Antonello Neri became the new bass player and the band completed the writing session of the songs for the debut album which was recorded at the "LEGEND digital Studios” of Rome in summer '99 with Mauro Matteucci as producer. The result of a month recording session is “Shades of Unconsciousness”, a very interesting work made of 9 songs, featuring Diego Reali founding member and guitarist of Italian DGM as guest on 3 solos. The album is made of songs powerful, symphonic and progressive elements which back in the day were the trademark of the New Wave of Italian Power Metal. The band’s debut CD SHADES OF UNCONSCIOUSNESS was released on april 2000 gaining great feedbacks from all over the world and is generally agreed to be a cult album in its genre. In the years following the release, the band members moved to other side projects. Since 2003 to 2006, Timestorm members are featured and played in other projects and bands like: Windrow (Faber Troy joined studio and live sessions), Dragonhammer (Alex Valdambrini recorded keyboards for the first 2 albums) and Multiversum (Gianluca and Antonello recorded the debut album). After several attempts to reform the band and perform live, TIMESTORM have come back on the scene with singer Pierpaolo Calore on vocals (former singer of Angra’s tribute band Heroes of Sand, Whisperz and solo Artist) and Giuseppe Longo on lead guitar (former guitarist of Windrow and Raizin’ Storm) and Marco Migliaccio switching to bass guitar...
The band debuted live again after more than a decade in January 2016 to perform a leg of 5 shows in the first quarter of 2016:
07.01.2016 @ Let It Beer Pub (Rome) – with Sailing to Nowhere

POST SCRIPTUM: Life’s a bitch and full of highs and lows…and TIMESTORM’s history was marked by the tragic loss in may 2010 of our dear friend and former bassist Antonello Neri who passed away. “Only the good die young” to quote Iron Maiden. A truly awesome person with a strong passion for life, music and sports. He will be missed for ever, Rest in Peace with your metal heroes!!!
