Myrkgand is a solo Melodic Death/Black Metal band with folk influences, created by the Brazilian Dmitry Luna, composer of all songs and responsible for playing practically all instruments in the recordings. The lyrical themes involve fantasy, monsters, magic, legends, demons, witches, mythology and epic battles. The first album “Myrkgand”, released in 2017, features several guest artists from renowned bands such as Symphony X, Novembers Doom, Mystifier, Korzus, Malefactor and much more. The album reverberated with great force, having been released in several versions worldwide, in Japan, Russia, Ukraine, Mexico, Czech Republic, Portugal, Brazil, Poland, Malaysia and more.

In 2018, Dmitry traveled to Slovakia to record Myrkgand's 2nd studio album, this time with the magic touch of the producer and Metal Legend ROLAND GRAPOW, known for his huge success playing in the bands Helloween and Masterplan. Again, this new work featured important guests, from phenomenal bands from all over the world. They play solos or sing songs with Dmitry. Among them stands out Roland Grapow himself, who recorded a guitar solo, and on the same track we have the striking presence of the Norwegian singer Liv Kristine, known for her works in Theater of Tragedy, Leaves Eyes and Atrocity. Members of bands such as Blind Guardian, Cradle of Filth, Trollfest, Tuann de Danann, Iron Angel, Vulcano, Pathologic Noise, Malefactor, Masterplan, Mortuary Drape, etc. also participate. The album came out in early 2019 and once again had the support of different labels, getting many versions in different countries, highlighting versions from Mexico, Brazil, Russia, Greece, United States, Spain and more. In the same year Dmitry sealed a partnership with one of the biggest guitar brands in the world, ESP Guitars, which became his official sponsor.

At the end of 2019, Dmitry leaves Brazil and travels to Europe to record the music video for the song “Trolls Filthy Madfeast” in Oslo, Norway, featuring 3 members of the Norwegian band Trollfest. After visiting Scandinavia, the musician from João Pessoa settled down in Portugal and finished the pre-production of his 3rd studio album there. The album was already recorded, mainly between Norway and Portugal and is currently in the mixing process. Once again Dmitry counts on a strong team of artists from the worldwide Metal scene such as Geir Bratland "Gerlioz" from Dimmu Borgir, ex-Satyricon/Emperor/The Kovenant, Anti-Christian Håpnes ex-Tsjuder/Beaten To Death/Jørn Lande, Chris "Warhead" Demydenko from Abazagorath/Blasphematory, Danilo Coimbra from Malefactor/Headhunter D.C., André Hernandes "Zaza" ex-Angra/Andre Matos, Andre Tulipano from Steel Warrior, the videogame soundtracks legend Barry Leitch (Top Gear, Double Dragon, Dark Quest, +), the voice actor Luiz Antonio Lobue (Dragon Ball Z, Saint Seiya, Jiraya, Dr. House, +) and others who will be announced soon.
