Biography
Mark Boals has performed more than 40 albums during his career as a lead vocalist, with many Gold and Platinum awards worldwide, along with doing various tours worldwide, with such notables as Dokken, Ted Nugent, Yngwie J. Malmsteen, Uli Jon Roth, Royal Hunt, and many more.
He joined Savoy Brown in 1982-83, then in 1984 Mark joined Ted Nugent's band and toured with Nugent throughout the U.S. and Europe.
In 1985 he joined Yngwie Malmsteen's 'Rising Force' as lead singer and in early 1986 recorded his first album with Malmsteen, “Trilogy”.
Mark eventually recorded a total of 6 albums with Malmsteen as well as doing several video clips and various live DVDs of Malmsteen’s world tours over the years.
In March 2000, Boals was voted “No.1 Vocalist Of The Year” in the Japanese music magazines "Burrn" and "Young Guitar".
To date Mark Boals has recorded 3 solo albums, 4 studio albums and a live DVD with his own band, "Ring Of Fire", with members Tony Macalpine, Virgil Donati, and Vitalij Kuprij.
He was touring with the band “Dio Disciples” with former members of Roniie James Dio’s band. and participated in the newest Dokken album, ‘Broken Bones’ performing back ground vocals with Don Dokken, he has now joined Dokken playing bass guitar and vocals.
Mark was on the cast member of the Las Vegas show “Raiding The Rock Vault” which includes many rock stars performing a history of Rock music from the 60’s through the 80’s.
Renaissance Rock Orchestra is a union of world class & legendary rock musicians. Mark joins the Orchestra on the release "In Times Of Olde" on an epic progmetal piece called "The Ice Age Cometh" which also features legendary drummer Vinny Appice from Black Sabbath, Ronnie James Dio and Last In Line and guitarist Robby Lochner from Jack Russels Great White! The record "In Times Of Olde" features 27 different well known Rock artists including 2 Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame Inductees!
Mark is also classically trained and has performed classical concerts with various orchestras as Tenor soloist, and has performed and recorded opera arias on some of his albums and tours.
