Biography
Thrashock was born in early 2009, as the result of the sacrilegious and blasphemous pairing between Ricky Volts (vocals) and Fernando (drums). Like all bands, they have had to go gnawing at the scene, while they have suffered multiple lineup changes to consolidate and solidify their sound.
One important step for the band was the recording of their first single "The end is coming soon" in mid-2010 that reveals clearly the influence of other styles of metal fused with thrash.
At that time the lineup consisted of Ricky Volts (Voice), Fer (drums), Eduardo "Chory" Anzaldo (bass and guitar) and Rocker (guitar). It's in this recording where Martin Cruz (producer and current guitarist) was seduced to join the band because Rocker had left the band. As well, Cesar "chicharo" Arias joined the band as the bass player to record their first material "Demo-Lition".
Finally, with a lineup formed by R.Volts, Fer, Martin, Chicharo and Chory and the previous mentioned material "Demo-lition", the band started to perform in their hometown Texcoco and alternate with important bands of the Mexico City scene like Intoxxxicated, Human Head, Vaffen, Wrecker, etc.)
In the early 2011, Chory left the band after some musical differences but without loosing his position as the 6th man and musical guru. The band had some presentations as a quartet before adding Kaleb Cruz on the guitar contributing with a brutal sound that is contrasting to Martin's rock and classical sound.
This lineup has been the most solid and successful for the band because shortly after defining it, they started to work on the EP "Total Destruction" that shows the path followed by the band, a fusion of Thrash, Death, Heavy, Punk and even Black Metal.
Other recent production of the band is a split called "Imminent Collision" beside the heavy metal band "Reverb Gun" composed of seven unreleased songs, three per band and one as a collaboration.
In 2012 Thrashock prepared its first long play material with the return of its original guitar player Chory. On November 23th of 2012 the CD "Kingdoms of hate" was released during the Violator and Thrashock concert held on the "Circo Volador" of Mexico City.
Thrashock has alternate with national and international famous bands like violator (Brazil) , nervo chaos (Brazil) vastator (Chile) ,thrashgrinder (Finland) , kraptor , visera (u.s.a) , pneuma (costa rica) , (Mexico) strike master , voltax , intoxxxicated , wrecker , Luzbel and more.
