Risen from the depths of the Austrian underground in the year 1993 BEREAVEMENT was one of the first death metal acts in this realm. After the split in 1995 and the reincarnation in 2002 the Upper Austrian band recorded a demo „Mass Execution“ in 2004, went through a number of lineup changes and got through a long way of playing gigs and song enhancing before they began to record their first full-length album. The „Ingenious Encounter“ entitled longplayer was released on the 8th of December 2014 via bandcamp.com as a digital release and as a digipak cd through the band itself.

With their debut album they made a fundamental statement. The sublimity of their music is a characteristic result of the massive influence of the US death metal. Mixed with their own creation of imagination BEREAVEMENT generate their definition of death metal without any compromise. With „Ingenious Encounter“ they are ready to conquer the rest of the world.
