Emperium is a technical death metal band hailed from Makati City, Philippines. Originally named "Art of War". Founded by high school batchmates year 2006 as metalcore genre but only last for 3 years due to college studies. Fast forward year 2014, Niel and Chok crossed their paths again, they decided to revive their high school band. Along the way forming their new lineup, they met Jorem Ejara (Into Agression) to fill the drum position and Lario Bonaobra (Atrocious Entity/Hysteria) to play bass. Heavily influenced by melodic metal riffs and neoclassical solo playing, they create their own brand to be distinct from the others in the local scene by incorporating other musical styles. Adding baroque and classical era sounding chord progressions, melody and counterpoints, power metal guitar prowess, progressive metal vibe, and death metal blast beats. Spearheading the revolution to introduce the technical death metal genre in the local music scene in the Philippines. Raising the bars and catapult the filipino extreme music on international spotlight.
