Biography
Illdisposed have kept us waiting for a new album for about 1 ½ years, proving with their follow-up to "1-800 Vindication" that increased alcohol consumption doesn't necessarily make you stupid but can, in fact, boost your creativity.
Since the beginning of the 90's Illdisposed have been one of the top bands of the Nordic Death metal scene and have released 8 albums. Not denying their Death metal roots their brand new offering "Burn Me Wicked" will meet all expectations. However, Illdisposed have also developed their own and more commercial form of Death metal with groovy rhythms, melodic but still hard hitting riffs, technical and well played guitar solos and an aggressive vocal in focus. The new album captivates with varied, well thought-out songs, also tackling serious subjects like on "The Widow Black" condemning Kurt Cobain's widow, as well as tracks featuring the band's very own sense of humour oozing with self mockery. Just take "?Illdispunk'd".
Guest singer Mikkel Sandager of Mercenary who is sharing the mike with Bo Summers on "Back To The Street", "Our Heroin Recess", "Burn Me Wicked" and "Nothing To Fear? Do lends more weight to the vocals.
The new album was produced and mixed by Ziggy in his ZigSound Studio in Denmark and mastered by Tue Madsen who produced ?1800-Vindication".
?Burn Me Wicked" starts where ?1-800 Vindication" left off: The songs are more dynamic, captivating with incredible tempo changes while aggression, groove and melodies remain strong.
Even the mid-tempo tracks are busting with sheer energy and a shock wave which like a bursting dam seems to run over the faster tracks. The experience gained from the production of 9 studio albums and the band's numerous shows in Denmark and other parts of Europe say it all: Illdisposed know what it's all about.
Over the years their success has not just been restricted to the Metal scene: with their 2004 Roadrunner debut ?1800-Vindication" they entered the official Danish album charts at # 85 which made Illdisposed the first Death metal band with such a high chart entry in the national charts. The video to ?Still Sane" was the most wanted metal video on VIVA Plus for 2 weeks and the track ?Dark" was featured on the soundtrack to the horror blockbuster ?SAW" .
Not just scene experts should have recognised the name Illdisposed as a firm synonym for ?finest metal quality" by now - ?Burn Me Wicked" will hit even the last hillbilly which most certainly will secure the Danes the top position of the European metal scene!
