The Svart Vold (''black violence'' in Norwegian language) forming in May,2007, from the brothers Federico (voice and bass) and Francesco (drums) Cartolano, whom under the aegis of a band willing to propose original metal, bring together Guido Pelizzari (voice), Marco Gervino (guitar) and Matteo Guazzo (guitar). After the release of first demo (The Black Poison), the two guitarists decide to follow other paths due to clashing interests related to different artistic tastes; the vacant spots get instantly filled by Angelo Ciardiello (guitar) and Marco Lazzarini (guitar). In the April,2009 the Svart Vold get back in studio again for their second demo project, with the intention to get ready for the first full-length. The result is ''Burning Memories'', containing four tracks with a full different sound and a more well-structured production.

Boosted by positive responses from public’s audience relying on good hopes to succeed, the band came back in the Federico Pennazzato's Authoma Studios to record their first full-length, where the aggressive root of the band fits well together critical themes about humankind's history. Once they finished to record, the album been sent to Nadir Music Studios for the final tracks mastering, catching the attention of personalities like Trevor (alias Roberto Traversa) and Federico Gasperi, strongly interested into co-operate for the release, publishing through media's sources advertising the full-length. Following the path according with the marketing communication strategies, finally, in the October,2011 ''Spiritual Stronghold'' comes out under the Buil2Kill Records.
