On the studio albums, Consciousness Removal Project is a one man band. Its only member Antti Loponen is responsible not only for the compositions but also most instruments and the record production. The dark, heavy and slowly crescending music of the band is often labeled under the genre post-metal. On Tacit, the songs of Consciousness Removal Project are this time instrumental. On the gigs, the band becomes a five-piece.
