It all began in 2004, when two hardrocking dudes called Stefan and Freddy met in the worlds most boring factory, Volvo Trucks. They draw the conclusion that something has to be done, or else they would be stuck in there forever. They both loved Helloween most of all, and both of them wanted to be rockstars, so why not start a band? Last Kingdom was formed by the singer Stefan Jacobsen och the guitarist Freddy Olofsson. They immediatly started to write some songs together. But just two guys is not enough to start a band, so the search for more Last Kingdom members started. A few members joined the band, but the chemistry was never quite there. So the search went on...

Two years later, a very little ugly bastard called Stefan Malmenlid heard the demo"Land of Dreams" that was recorded by Stefan and Freddy earlier that year. He liked it so much that he wanted to join the band as soon as possible. Now he´s the keyboardplayer of Last Kingdom. He also managed to recruit his terrible ugly brother Jimmy, to become the bassplayer of Last Kingdom. The knewed the most beutiful man in the world, Erik Knutsson (en häääst). He was a drummer, so he joined the band too, but only because he was so hot (we are not gay)! A very talented guitarist called Stefan Andersson joined the band as well, so now Last Kingdom had the coremembers to do something productive with their lives.

They rehearsed, they rehearsed....and they rehearsed. And then Stefan A and Erik (hääääst) decided to leave the band for personal reasons. We are still good friends...

Freddy found the blonde drummer from Hell, Anders "Blondie" Persson. The chemistry was flawless at that point. He immediatly joined the band...

And then, the camelrider (Hobbe) from the land of thousands KebabScrolls of Destiny wanted to join the band. Because all of us liked kebab, we thought, hmm... you can play the guitar.

And they rehearsed for an aeon. And then they decided to unleash their horror on stage. At Musikens Hus in Gothenburg, Last Kingdom performed their first gig ever. They should have rehearsed for another aeon, or two, but the gig was however a success and Last Kingdom had shown the world that they were here to stay. After the gig, Last Kingdom played on a couple of stages in Gothenburg, such as the openingacts for Dragonland and Wolf...

And at that point the proggression of Last Kingdom was nowhere to be found, no new material was written during that time.

Anders felt that something wasn´t right in the band so he decided to leave the Last Kingdom...

After a short while a new drummer was found, Henrik Hedman. And Last Kingdom arised from the Ashes of Phoenix. Shortly after, they entered the Emergenza-festival. They made it to the Gothenburg-finals, but they did not win...

Now, you may wonder what year this all happens?

It's in the beginning of the glorious 2008.

Now Last Kingdom decided to record a 3-track demo in a real studio. It was a good experience for everyone in the band.

Last Kingdom was not satisfied with their demo. So they decided to not use it for anything, maybe as bonustracks in the future to come...

After the recording-sessions, Last Kingdom had a serious meeting. The chemistry in the band was not so good at that point. After the meeting was over, Hobbe and Henrik left the band for personal reasons...

Last Kingdom was now convinced that they only needed one leadguitarist, and that was Freddy. They asked Anders to rejoin the band because he was mostly suited for the position as the drummer of Last Kingdom. After a little persuasion, Anders rejoined the band again.

And now, Last Kingdom has the optimal constellation.

Last Kingdom has never sounded better than they do today, the songwriting has taken a new turn, and the band has many gigs planned for this fall.
