Fjoergyn originally started as a one man project of Stephan L. in 2003. Years later it evolved to a full band. Andreas T. joined as the band bassist in 2004. During the fall of 2005 it seemed that the need of a drummer in the band was necessary especially when the members intended to play their materials live. The search for the drummer ended when Martin L. joined the ranks of Fjoergyn in 2006. The band's debut album "Ernte Im Herbst" was produced by Jens Bachmann (Falkenbach) in 2004 and was released in 2005. For a short duration in 2005 the band was signed to Black Attakk Records, but the collaboration did not last long. The band released its sophomore album Sade Et Masoch in 2007 through Reartone Records. The band parted ways with bassist Andreas in 2007. The release of the band's third album " Jahreszeiten" is mid 2009.
