Biography
Dark and powerful metal music, led by a charismatic female singer with an amazing voice, tortured atmospheres and very personal lyrics ; sung, whispered, and shouted. This is how to define the musical style of ETHS !
ETHS has evoled in the French Metal scene with the Coriace team since 1999, their year of creation.
2003 is a very busy year for the band thanks to its second EP "Samantha" released in September 2002 (Coriace / Musicast) : TV appearances, tons of press articles, samplers and Metal Compilation (Dedale, Nu Metal 3, Metal Area). "Samantha" and more recently, "Autopsie" (first EP remastered and re-released in June 2003), caused a lot of ink to flow. Energic and touching shows established Eths' image as a strong live band.
2004 was the years of confirmation for this younh band since it first album "Soma (Sriracha Re / PIAS) released in October, earned ETHS the cover of several specialized magazines (Rockone, Rocksound, Hard N Heavy) and a large national tour (120 shows). The band also play on the biggest summer festival in France, like Eurochéennes (Belfort), the Furyfest and the Dour Festival (Belgium). The Title "Détruis Moi" is received airplay for more than a year on Le Mouv' (National radio station), and their video clip "Crucifère" is regulary shown on MTV and MCM.
After having sold more then 20,000 copies of the first album and spending more then 16 months on the road, the band prepares itself to come off this marathon tour and finally begin composing new music, of course, punctuated by important appearances (Printemps de Bourges) in order to maintain contact with their always growing public.
Strengthened by this amazing trip, Eths came back in October 2007 with the French release of their new, and second album "Teratologie". Always darker and deeper... more touching than ever... this album has a disturbing visual and can't let anyone insensitive. As soon as released, this album is classified as "album of the month" (Rockone : "The band has never let itself go this way..." ; Rockmag : "Here begins the butchery...").
Eths quickly took back its place as leader of the French metal scene and confirmed its live quality during the 22 dates of their French first part tour. And the band hasn't pronounced its kast word...
