Biography

Fully formed in 2004, Zero Down wildly and unapologetically embrace the amalgam legacy of British Heavy Metal and American Hard Rock, to wit - guitar harmonics fueled, sensational front man driven fury and frolicking. Zero Down's unique flourish and personality, alongside reverential nods to members of the entire extended metal family (Including but not limited to: Judas Priest, Van Halen, Motorhead, Iron Maiden, Thin Lizzy, Aerosmith) is a superbly blended homage to rock - finely wrought, hyper enthusiastically delivered, and easily accessible in time and PacNw geography.

Metal Misfit, Pirate, Card Dealer, Tortured Genius, and Drummer, the characters that comprise Zero Down are as individually entertaining as one could imagine. Lenny-the-Face, Ronnie-the-Eye, Hawk-the-Mountain, Fred-the-Philosopher, and Tyler, Lone Wol" are conceivably the greatest metal meatball ensemble cast presenting rock & roll today. But of course, the Zero Down whole is easily greater than the sum of the parts.

Zero Down's debut offering in 2005, "Old Time Revival" put them on the map for pure hearted revivalist metal delivered fervently in the spirit of Pentacostal tent revivals. Zealous testifying to the almighty rock, this year's highly anticipated follow up, "Good Times at the Gates of Hel" has arrived, extending the musical themes and musicality, while presenting a more distilled purity of form. Seemingly, the apprentices have grown to equal the masters. Featuring another colorful cast member, Martin "Sweet Wizard" Feveyear stars in both recording occasions as the producer, producing a solid set of names to drop (having worked with QOTSA, Presidents of the U.S. of A., Gruntruck, Screaming Trees), as well as his impressively deft handling of Zero Down's power and prowess.
