Comatose Vigil - Biography
Biography
The first (and, as time will tell, the only correct) form was born in January 2003 in Moscow. From the beginning, the team regularly recorded their rehearsal on a small tape recorder. In the future, some of these records have been digitized and refined, distributed among friends and interests. At that time,it was the first group in the style of Funeral Doom that appeared in Russia.
They signed a contract to record and release their debut album on the new sableyble Marche Funebre prod. In 2005, their debut,Not a Gleam of Hope, was released and it received some positive reviews.
The bands music can be described as extremely majestic, almost epic, and bleak funeral doom. The whole music feels like a waste hall. The extremely dark vocals contrast the symphonic aura of the music. Fans of Tyranny must hear this.
In September 2006, the band signed a contract with the Moscow label Solitude prod. for recording and release of the single, and the second full length album. The single was released in the same year, - "Narcosis (EP)".
Their long-awaited second full-length album was released September 12, 2011. This recording took place in Russia in the studio Primordial Studio (where previously recorded Revelations of Rain and Who Dies In Siberian Slush). The album was mastered by Greg Chandler in England.
On 7 March 2012, the band announced their breakup. The split up was mutually agreed upon
