Biography

Eversin was created late in the year 2000 as Fuoco Fatuo by Ignazio Nicastro and Giangabriele Lo Pilato. As the two members decided to give more life to the project, they contacted vocalist Angelo Ferrante and after some months of warming up with the new recruit, started writing material for their debut demo release: "Tenebra's Dream". Before the songwriting process was complete, keyboardist Giuseppe Crapanzano joined the band to give a new and more dynamic dimension to the music. In August of 2002, "Tenebra's Dream" was produced (independently) and released shortly after. The band began their first string of live performances to support their sound, perhaps their most notable gig coming during the Metalagno festival in Vicenza, Italy. Fuoco Fatuo performed alongside reputable Italian bands such as Centurion, Arthemis and Paul Chain.

Writing began on "Of Light And Dark" shortly after the band's string of tours, and in 2004 some changes were made to the band's style, where Fuoco Fatuo decided to incorporate for experimental elements to their sound. After the demo was released in the same year it was written, the band once again performed live in support of their new release in Sicily, playing at the Temple Of Power with headline Italian band Panorama.

With "Of Light And Dark" being positively received by fans and critics, the band was contacted by NLM Records to contribute a song on "Heavy Rendez Vous Vol. II", a compilation album. "Messiah", the band's sole contribution, was one of the most appreciated tracks on the CD.

In late 2006, the band's full-length debut and final opus under the Fuoco Fatuo moniker, "Our Elegy", was released through NLM/Masterpiece. During the recording process for the band's next album, keyboardist Crapanzano decided to leave the band to follow other projects.

The band returned to its original state as a trio and was renamed by the band members to Eversin. The band members continued writing and recording material for the first studio album released under the Eversin name. "Divina Distopia", ready to be released in 2008, was not officially released until February 19, 2010. The album is heralded as the band's strongest work to date, combining all elements the band is known for while approaching new territory.
