The Antichrist Imperium was formed in early 2010 by David Gray and Matt Wilcock of Akercocke notoriety. The pair had been working on extreme music that needed to be vented as an entity of its own. Niki Hassan of Ted Maul opted into the project as bassist/vocalist and as a three piece the band was formed and surged forward in the songwriting process.

Combining passions for the different genres of extreme metal, The Antichrist Imperium has become a monster combining favoured elements of old school and modern, black, death and thrash metal. All using ultra fast guitars and unmercifully blasting drums.
In april the band entered the studio to track three songs for demo and promotional purposes. The songs tracked included, Death ritual, Kill for Satan and Misotheist.

Writing has continued and the band have more than enough material for their first album which will be released as soon as possible along with live appearances. Already a great deal of interest has been shown in the band and there is plenty more to come.
