Consummatum Est were formed in the end of 2003 by Emanuele "Vastitas" Telli at the vocals, keyboards and bass; Daniele, at the drums; Federica at the vocals. In the beginning of 2004 Michele joined the band as guitarist. The music they played was black metal with gothic influences. In the middle of 2004 Consummatum Est changed their music stile and become a doom metal band. In april 2005 they release their autoproduced debut album Funeral Procession containing three tracks of decadent and dramatic doom metal. In the end of 2005 Federica, Michele and Daniele leave Consummatum Est due to personal reasons. However, Emanuele writes new material and in july 2006 recorded a "Promo 2006" helped by guest musicians (line up: Vastitas: composition, keyboards, piano, bass; Nuriel: vocals; Moerke: guitars; Francesca R. Pani: vocals; Elisabetta Marchetti: vocals; Lorenzo Barisano: drums). In the meantime, Canadian label Made With Hate Records reprint debut album Funeral Procession (250 handnumbered copies + instrumental bonus track). In October 2008 Moerke become an official Consummatum Est member and they record their second full lenght called "Hypnagogia" (line up: Vastitas: compositions, keyboards, piano; Moerke: vocals, guitars; Haemon: vocals; Thorgrim: bass; Tori: soprano; Fo': drums; Greg Chandler: guest vocals on the track "Consummatum Est"), released in july 2010 by Silent Time Noise Rec.
