Waking The Cadaver formed in January 2006 in Shore Points, New Jersey. They released their self-titled two song demo Waking The Cadaver in 2006 with two tracks "Chased Through The Woods By A Rapist" and "Blood Splattered Satisfication".
On November 21, 2007 their debut album Perverse Recollections Of A Necromangler was released on Necrohamonic Records.
On August 10, 2010, Waking The Cadaver released their second full-length album titled as Beyond Cops. Beyond God.. Waking The Cadaver supported tours for death metal bands such as Napalm Death and Immolation. As of the future, the band plans on touring persistently and writing new songs.
On January 19, 2013, it was confirmed the band released a new single called "Lumped Up", which will also be featured on their new album Real-Life Death, to be released on Amputated Veins Records on November 5th, 2013.
