Biography
Trist is a depressive black metal band from the Czech Republic. Formed in 2003 by multi-instrumentalist Jan Šincl (and consisting of various session musicians), Trist has released a multitude of full-length albums (from Stíny to Zrcadlení Melancholie), split recordings (with the likes of Grimnir and Hypothermia), and a handful of demos since his project's inception.
Šincl has maintained Trist's lo-fi depressive black metal sound throughout the years, working with several bands in the black metal underground along the way.
Kim Carlsson remains a good friend of Šincl, who is outspokenly against the NSBM scene and refuses to work with musicians who are considered a part of it.
