Fangtooth were formed in 2007 by Sfack, Animal and Painkiller, three old friends who already played together in a doom band called Karnstein and in a death metal band called Exhuman. After one year of hard work for building their own rehearsal room, Fangtooth wrote six songs that became part of their first self titled full length album, in which Joseph Reginson played the bass. In 2011 Fangtooth signed with the Russian label Solitude Productions, which spread the album among the most important 'zines and distros.

On November 2011 they had the honor to play at the Malta Doom Fest with Pagan Altar and many other great European doom bands, discovering a great scene and a great audience. After a period in search of a bass player, during which they were supported temporarily by Mirko (drummer on Bunker66, Traumagain), in 2013 Fangtooth welcomed Damien (bass player in Bunker66, Occultator, Lich, and many more ...). With the line up back to full strenght they have recorded their second full lenght called "... as we dive into the dark", released in 2014 by Jolly Roger Records.
