Biography
Catarsis Incarne is a death metal band from Costa Rica. Originally formed in 2002 as Katharzys, the band released a demo and an EP, The Beginning Of Desolation, before relaunching under their new name, Catarsis Incarne.
Catarsis Incarne released their first album in their current guise, Katharma in 2011 under the independent label Plectro Records. The topics encompassed subjects around anti religion and existentialism. A highlight is the title track, which explores the arrival of the conquerors to Central American lands with all its pros and cons.
The second album, Presbere, will be released in July 2013. The entire album itself is a posthumous tribute to the leader and defender of indigenous resistance in Costa Rica, with the arrival of the conquerors. A single has been taken from the album, called "4 De Julio".
