Biography
Since Oliver Falk was looking for a second emotional outlet for his compositions besides his band Weltenbrand, the idea of "Erben der Schöpfung" - a Gothic/EBM project - came about .
In 1998 and 1999, there were discussions with potential band members but unfortunately nobody was able to participate due to time constraints. Soon it became apparent that he would need a female vocalist. Due to that fact, Oliver Falk started looking for vocal support and soon found someone. Sabine Dünser immediately put her heart and soul into it. Hence, the originally planned formation of Erben der Schöpfung as a two-piece was realised. Oliver Falk composed the remaining songs for the planned album "Twilight" on which Pete Streit was supposed to support one of the songs with a guitar part. This turned out to be such a good match that Pete soon became a permanent band member.
In 2001, the first album "Twilight" and the single "Elis" were released via M.O.S. records. A fist memorable live performance at the Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig followed with Tom Saxer, Jürgen Broger and Franky Koller who originally meant to support the live gigs only, but after Leipzig they became permanent members. From the time of this live performance on, the band reached the hearts of the audience.
Soon thereafter several misunderstandings occured between the Band head Oliver Falk, the rest of the band and the management and court was the last resort.Due to the bad advice of his lawyer to leave his own band instead of firing the other band members and the manager, Oliver Falk lost the license to his entire "Twilight" album.
The only thing Falk was able to save through a copyright sign granted in Liechtenstein, was the name "Erben der Schöpfung".
All this was quite heavy but yet the thought of the project "Erben der Schöpfung" never died.
Fall 2005 there was formed a new list of members around Composer Oliver Falk with vocalist Dina Falk and Rino Vetsch on guitar. The idea of Erben der Schöpfung continues with a unique dark Gothic-EBM-Metal sound. Ideas and impressions have been collected and in fall 2007 the Band went to their studio to record the second Erben der Schöpfung Album.
Spring 2008 - 2009 Flo Riederer and Tobi Kalt on guitars, Jens Wagner on bass and Pady Margadant on drums joined the band and in this formation first takes for an EP have been started in summer 2008. The EP soon became an Album and in July 2009 the recordings of "Twilights" follower "Narben der Zeit" (Scars of time) have been finished.
Musically the final result ?Narben der Zeit" became harder and faster than the debut ?Twilight". Electronic beats are dashing a metal drums which is united with walls of guitars.
The vocals are ranging between clear female spheres and distorted spoken parts. All in one a new combination of proven essences which offers a set full of contrasts containing a lot of alternations and hidden refinement.
