Biography
Thabu was formed in September of 2004 by Carlos Di Tirro (Vocals and Keyboard), Santiago Diaz Garces (Guitar) and Leandro Bulanikian (Drums) In 2005, under this formation (With Santiago Diaz Garces taking place as Bassist too) the band records their first EP which is made by 2 songs and with which they had great repercution of the press and their partners of the genre. After several auditions, they complete the band with Marcos Guerci in Bass, with whom they start to perform live throughout the year, touring for first time in the city of Bahia Blanca, with great acceptation of the crowd. In 2006, they decide to finish the arrangments, compositions and recordings of the first band's full lenght and the decisition of replace the bassist was taken, entering to the band after many auditions.
In September of that year, Salvatore Cappelli, whose inmediatly took charge on the bass recordings for the cd in process. In 2007, in July, the band make their first international gig in Viña del Mar and Santiago (Chile) and their first gig in Mendoza (Argentina), where the band called the attention of the press and the people. Also they play in a lot of places of Capital and Gran Buenos Aires, and at the end of the year, they play with Uranian in Bahia Blanca for second time In 2008 they change again bassist, where Marco Ignacio Toba takes charge on the bass lines replacing Salvatore.
On September 2008, the band released their first album called "La Opresion de lo Inevitable" (The Opretion of the Unavoidable) which was distributed all around the country and sold by internet to all the world. After released the album, the band replace singer Carlos Di Tirro due to musical and personal differences. After six months of auditions, Gisela Bianchi (Ex Sinapsis) who after a few months and some shows, decides to leave the band due to personal problems. From this moment on, the band decides to get into the composition and the recording of their second CD, while they start to auditionate singers again, from all around Argentina, Latinamerica and Usa.
After several tests, the band decides to incorporate the chilean singer James Robledo (Ex Alternancia) whom fits perfeclty with the sound pretended by the band because of his vocal versatility, giving to the band the final touch to start this new phase.
In this moment, Thabu is finishing the recordings and the mixing of "Reborn", their second album, that will be released on September of 2011
