Biography
Yawarhiem is a conceptual metal band that mixes rock, power metal, symphonic music, opera and Andean folklore. Today, after hardworking recording sessions they launch their first album, called The Rebirth Of The Empire. This album tells (by chapters) an adapted story about the genesis of the Inca's Empire. Through fights, battles, mystified characters and Inca's culture elements they explain us its creation. Yawarhiem was found in 2005 by J. Miguel Brendal and Aurora D'Nina.
Later that year, they launched their first demo called Darkness, Blood And Tears, and a single with the same name. Due to the public approval and their participation in several heavy rock festivals, they become 2006 Revelation Band. Their first single had great acceptance and recognition among local and international Internet portals, which brought up some reviews and online interviews. Also it was played on the radio program El Taxi De Lucy Smith of Doble 9 radio (a famous radio station in Lima).
In 2007, they started the album recording supported by well known guest artists, such as Genaro Chumpitaz (Tenor), Sergio "Checho" Cuadros (Wind) and Carlos Reynoso (Charango). Furthermore, this record was complemented by numerous Andean folkloric and symphonic elements that helped creating the perfect environment for each chapter. Every track tells the tragic story of Ayar Tawar and his journey to found the Inca Empire. Early in 2008, they made the video of Darkness, Blood And Tears. The recording took place in natural historical and cultural locations, like Lomas De Lúcumo and The Archeological Centre Of Bandurria (north of Lima). The video was launched in January 2009.
Later that year, Yawarhiem received good critics in French magazines reviews, such as Heavy Metal Law and Kaosguards. The last one interviewed the band at the end of that year.
Nowadays, Yawarhiem is preparing the Rebirth Of The Empire launching concert. Yawarhiem has launched its CD called The Rebirth Of The Empire in November 2010.
