Biography
The Deforge born in November 1997 with the monicker Anonima Disastri, by a Ettore Gaetano idea (guitar) and his brother Gianfranco, on drums. Initially their main sources of inspiration were Sepultura and Slayer. The results have not been seen for a while time because of technical deficiencies and composition due to the lack of the rest of the line-up. Soon after, however, joins the group Domenico D'Eugenio on bass with which they begin to take shape. While continuing the search for a singer and a guitar solo.
Then log in Anonima also John Caporaletti on lead guitar and, because of the difficulty of finding the' other member, Ettore became the voice of the group. A little later the group entered the studio to record the first demo "Mankind Disaster". This first experience was as uplifting as it is difficult and full of hitch, which has led to a result is not quite optimal ...
The band started to play live receiving favorable opinions. Due to personal problems, however, Gianfranco is forced to leave the group, and is soon replaced by Michele Melchior, former drummer for Thrasher Sothis and My Dark Sin. With him, the group changed the sources of inspiration (especially now become At The Gates) and began composed songs for the second demo.
It begins, however, a difficult period, made up of many setbacks and delays, however, leads to the composition of four new songs plus a revival of the old track. The group thus enters in May 2001 in the Temple of Noise studio's Christian Ice, recording "Silent Terror Inside", the second demo of former Anonima Disastri.
An excess of commitments forced Michael to leave the group replaced by Giuseppe Bracci (formerly Lost Dream). The group suffers as a further technical breakthrough which significantly affects the composition of new pieces. In December 2001, for personal reasons, Giovanni left the band also. The search for a worthy replacement has not so simple.
Fortunately, the band's' encounters with Massimo Di Gaetano with which they are currently preparing the live dates. In recent days, finally, the group's decision to change its name in Deforge, feeling more correctly identified by the anonymous monicker Disasters.
