The story of Epitimia started in Russia in 2008 with melancholic ambient black metal. Soon the first demo "You, Whose Name Dies on Quivering Lips" was born. After that the band made a journey through dark experiments with traditional black metal sounds and produced five full-length albums, taking a special place in the Russian black metal underground.

Epitimia was created by two people: A. (guitars, keys and programming) and K. (lyrics and vocals). But soon M. joined the band as a drummer. Also a few session musicians appear on each album. Band members do not use their full names to emphasize that the music should be in the foreground, self-sufficient and not hidden behind visual images. Music is an Art that is cleansing from sin, the highest goal, elevating the human spirit above a rotten world.

"Allusion" is the sixth album of Epitimia summing up the results of a long period of creativity. It contains the band's iconic songs, but reinterpreted, reworked and re-recorded, in fact, representing a bright new statement. This is the music of inner suffering and spiritual path.
