Biography
The band was formed in 2005 with the ambition to create black metal with thrash and punk influences. The band had been around a couple of years before but as Draug playing more melancholic black metal. Founding members where Dawid Dahl and Karl Olsson, together with the first drummer Kristian Eidefeldt. Outlaw was recruited as vocalist and Kristian left the band and was replaced by Fredrik Widigs. Progress of recording a demo started quickly, and in 2006 Prepare for the Attack was-self released. Within two years Angrepp was picked up by the American label Abyss Records to record the full-length album, Warfare, that the band had been working on. The well-known Swedish musician Dan Swanö was connected with the band to mix and master the album. Also, Andreas Fröberg joined the band to handle the bass. Warfare got a very good response for the combination of performing blackened thrash with musicality and technique.
After a year both Fredrik Widigs and Andreas Fröberg left the band to focus on other projects. Angrepp recruited Jakob Hallegren for drums and, later on, Titan for bass. Of course, this took a while and time passed by before the band could start working on new material for the new album. In 2012, Angrepp entered the famous Necromorbus Studio to record their second full-length album, Libido, with Sverker Widegren. Due to various reasons, Angrepp and Abyss Records ended their collaboration, and after a year the band signed a new deal with Unexploded Records from Sweden.
