Biography
The VALHALLA band has begun its walk in 1989, wrapped up in the propose to make an aggressive and heavy DEATH METAL, bringing since then a more aggressive behavior.
After recording a job on DEMO TAPE format in 1992 the band published, through the extinct SUB WAY label, its vinyl debut (LP) called "In the Darkness of Limb" in 1994, which had a big acceptance by the public. The result of this work came up as invitations to shows throughout different Brazilian's regions.
Due to constant changes of the band's members, Valhalla had stopped its activities for a while, restarting them in 1999 with three new musicians: Michelle (bass), Caroline (vocals) and Marcelo (drums), besides the guitar sisters Alessandra and Adriana, in the band since the beginning. With these new members Valhalla recorded on June 2001 the DEMO CD called "For The Might of Chaos ? For The Force Inside" containing four tracks. After it, the band played with many world acclaimed metal bands.
After recording DEMO CD, Marcelo (drums) left the group and Rodrigo joined the band to record the album PETREAN SELF, by HELLION RECORDS on May 2002. With this CD, Valhalla has been widely acclaimed in many countries. And because of it, has done the most important shows of its history.
Caroline (vocals), Michelle (bass/vocals) and Amanda (bass) are not a part of the group anymore. Now Monica (vocals) is playing besides Ariadne (drums), who is in the band since 2005. From the "Valhalla Sisters" only Adriana remains in command of the guitars, maintaining the tradition of songs of the band: The Old School Death Metal.
With this new band's formation Valhalla recorded on January 2009 three tracks included on the Demo CD called "Innerstorm". The objective of it is to disseminate the current phase of the Valhalla and show that the initial idea prevails: to make Death Metal.
