Started in 2013 from the ashes of a two-man project, songwriter Max took his self-written songs with him to form Hjel. As instruments were already recorded with only vocals missing, Munin was hired to complete the tracks that made up the first EP, Gedanken aus dem Grab. It was released both digitally and on CD by Senseless Life Records in the same year.

In 2015 the recording of the first full-length took place, this time with Max on vocals. The resulting album, named Kalte Asche, is set to be released in the summer of 2016 by Abstrakte Wunden Tonträgerproduktion, while a first song "Ruinen" saw the light of day as a digital single already in January.
