My thoughts erode in my mind
Each wave, a wrinkle in time
All hope I left to the shore
She calls to me from ocean floors

Tonight the ocean is the color of blood
Dreams become sickness
I descend

As the water fills my lungs
I can't help but see her face

This rock where I stand
Is my solace where I dwell
On thoughts of my time
On this hellish land

The trees, dismal fog
My faint heart on the stream

Clouds won't hide pain
Watching faint light fade

Hands open to the sky
Ensign of the Dawn

Taken away from my earthly Eye
From within
All must die

Paint the sky

Watch it burn
From the skin
What a lie
To live in

Waste
Pain
Anguish
Left behind

Shattered light
Heavy heart

What of this day is mine but a life?
I've gone this way to find my new sight
