The members of Chepang are originally from Central Nepal, but due to the poverty of the country they had to leave the capital Kathmandu to emigrate to New York, United States of America. This situation led the band to create "immigrindcore", their own brand of politically charged grindcore.

Central Nepal is an area known for its intense poverty, it is no wonder that musicians are intimately familiar with the conflicts of wealth disparity and choose to adapt their combative lyrics, driven by two vocalists, against classism and economic elitism.
