Oathean - Trivia
This band's profile is 'invisible', meaning that it's much less prominent on the site - either because it's incomplete, or maybe doesn't entirely fit MS format.
The name of the band was originally Odin, chief of the Scandinavian gods, but in 1997, Odin changed their name to Oathean to reflect the change in their sound (death metal to melodic black metal) as well as to reflect the increased use of Korean elements in their music over their original Scandinavian influences.
Ex-bassist/vocalist, Min-Su Kim, is Do-Su Kim's older brother.
Do-Su Kim established and runs Jusin Productions, a recording company.
As the word 'oath' means both 'curse' and 'swear', 'Oathean' means one who curses the world and swears by the grief deep inside all human beings. |
