Saga - Trivia

Generation 13 is the band's eleventh studio album released in 1995, album concept and storyline by Jim Crichton inspired in part by the book "13th Gen: Abort, Retry, Ignore, Fail?" by Neil Howe and Bill Strauss.
For a few years, a keyboard riff from their song "No Regrets" became the background music for station breaks at WCAD-FM in San Juan, also the band received formal recognition as distinguished visitors from the Puerto Rican legislature in February 2005.
Saga's second concert in Puerto Rico (1981) caused riots from fans trying to crash into a sold-out concert that sold over 10,000 tickets.
When original Saga drummer Steve Negus left the band in 2003, Saga carried on with a series of session members until Doerner joined in 2006. Doerner appears on the albums Trust from 2006, 10,000 Days from 2007 and The Human Condition from 2009.

On October 6, 2007, Brian Doerner suffered a heart attack. He was due to leave for a tour of Europe. His life was saved, and eventually was able to return to drumming. Brian noted if the heart attack had happened a day later when he was leaving with Saga, "If I'd been on the plane, I'd be dead."
