Solefald - Trivia
The band's name was taken from one of a pair of paintings by Theodor Kittelsen. Titled 'Soleglad' and 'Solefald', the two paintings are meant to portray the cycle of being, and Cornelius and Lazare found the name rather fitting for their new musical endeavor. 'Solefald' is an archaic Danish word from the 19th century and literally means 'the fall of the sun' or, more simply, 'sunset'.
Lazare and Cornelius are not just musicians. Lazare works as a newscaster for TVNorge while Cornelius is an accomplished writer with a number of published books and poems to his name. |
