H.E.A.T. was a nice opener, some Sweden glam metal that brings back a few memories from the 80s. Fun.
But as a long time fan, I was here for
Andre Matos, and I wasn't disappointed (except that I wished it was longer, and that they were headliners on this tour). They played like 5 or 6 songs from the Time To Be Free album, and a few Angra songs (Lisbon, Nothing To Say, Carry On).
Everybody was amazed by the drummer, Eloy Casagrande, only 17 and probably one of the best drummer I've ever seen. But I already knew he was some kind of prodigy, so what astonished me is the way he hits the drums, it's, well, quite brutal, intense at least.
A great moment, I can't wait to see them again.
And the last band was
Edguy, highly acclaimed. I've seen them a few times before so I knew we'd have our fair share of jokes from little Tobby, as well as some nice background music to go with it. Let's be honest, I'm not a fan of the band, although I appreciate their work (be it the first "metal" albums or the new "rock" albums) I don't find it to be exceptional in any way but it is a fact that a
Edguy concert is always a great moment of fun, with a friendly and reactive crowd.
But I couldn't enjoy it for I was kinda frustrated that they were headlining while I only came to see
Andre Matos.
