The first Speedfest edition was held in 2006. In 6 years the festival for fans of rock & roll, garage, punk, metal, psychobilly, hardcore, outlaw country and other related styles has grown to international happening which draws to around the 5000 visitors. Most of them come from the Netherlands, but fans from heavy music from the rest of Europe (and even Japan and Turkey) travel every year in greater numbers to Eindhoven Rockcity.
