After releasing the new album In Becoming A Ghost last year, The Faceless are returning to their classic 2008 album, Planetary Duality, to perform it in its entirety at the Bay Area Death Fest in California. The tech death metallers will be headlining day 3 of the fest at Cornerstone Craft Beer & Live Music this year on June 10th and will be playing the record front to back plus more.

UPDATE: Inanimate Existence failed to respond after The Faceless kicked them off their tour, and now a new statement has been released by The Faceless explaining the situation a little bit more. According to them, they dropped Inanimate Existence off the tour due to a rape allegation made against one of the band members, who was not named.

The Faceless, who have become notorious for cancelling several tours last minute and constantly changing band members, are finally releasing a new album. The announcement was made by their label Sumerian Records about the follow-up to Autotheism (2012). The good news is that the tech death metallers will release In Becoming A Ghost on December 1st. The Faceless have bailed on yet another tour, and last minute. They were supposed to embark on the upcoming tour with Between The Buried And Me and August Burns Red but that's not happening. Neither is their headlining tour in April. Why are they dropping off the tour? According to them, their fill in vocalist said he wouldn't perform with them on the tour and they didn't have time to solve the issue.

So, Michael "Machine" Keene is not alone in the band anymore after all members deserted last year. Justin McKinney is the guitarist and songwriter of The Zenith Passage. After bassist Evan Brewer and drummer Alex Rudinger left The Faceless, Michael Keene said on the band's Facebook page that they fully intended to play on the European Protest The Hero tour with The Contortionist. Well, it seems like that didn't go according to plan because mere days from the beginning of the tour, Protest The Hero, who are the headliners, confirm that The Faceless have had to drop off the tour. In fact, The Safety Fire are taking their place on these shows.

It's happening again. The Faceless just lost two other members. This time, it was bassist Evan Brewer and drummer Alex "Rudy" Rudinger, who was only in the band since last year. Mastermind Michael "Machine" Keene will have to find other members to replace them. Both musicians have other projects. Evan Brewer has his solo project and Alex "Rudy" Rudinger is the drummer for Conquering Dystopia. It seems like The Faceless looses members every year.
