Accept - New Video Online, Live Show With AC/DC

Accept is proud to announce the world premiere of their new music video "Teutonic Terror" from their forthcoming album Blood Of The Nations.

The video shot in March, directed by Dave Blass of Grid41.com promises to be the "Most Metal" Accept video ever. Asked about the "story, or theme" behind the video, the director said: "We had all of these cool ideas for stories about a post apocalyptic world, hot girls in Mad Max gear and cool visuals and the more we worked it the more we kept coming back to the basics... this is Accept, not Mötley Crüe, there are people all over the world that have waited years to see this band again, and every second that we cut away to some story that is really just filler anyway, we are missing what is really important. People want to see Wolf Hoffmann shredding his flying V, they want to see new singer Mark Tornillo singing a new Accept song, and they want to see the band ripping into the new track. So I said screw the story, get me some fire, get me some tanks and lets rock it."

The clip can be watched at this location. The band will release their first studio album in almost 15 years in September 2010 through Nuclear Blast.

In other news, Accept is going to hit the stage together with AC/DC at their show in Hannover on 25 May. The show will take place at the Messe Halle in Hannover, with nearly 70.000 fans.

AC/DC - Clash With Animal Rights Activists

Aussie rockers AC/DC could have to cancel a sold-out concert because their big sound poses a danger to rare birds.

Animal rights campaigners are threatening legal action if the veteran band goes ahead with a gig planned for Wels airport in Austria in May. Hans Uhl of BirdLife said birds nesting in the area at the time would be threatened by anthems such as "Highway To Hell" and "You Shook Me All Night Long". "The second biggest colony of curlews in Upper Austria and various other ground-nesting birds must not become endangered," Mr Uhl said.

The event's 80,000 tickets were sold out within hours.

AC/DC - Entire 1979 Show Streaming Online

Wolfgang's Vault is reporting the following:

"AC/DC had been in existence for six years and had released as many albums when they recorded this rollicking show at Towson State College, near Baltimore, Maryland. The band was in its prime, with vocalist Bon Scott leading the group through what would later be viewed as some of their strongest material, with the Young Brothers (Angus and Malcolm) driving the guitar-boogie riffs at full throttle.

The band had just released "Highway To Hell", the album that would break the entertaining Aussie band worldwide, and was burning up the rock radio charts with a platter of classics that included "Girl's Got Rhythm," "Touch Too Much," and the title track.

Sadly, four months later, Bon Scott would drink himself to death and the band would be thrown into complete turmoil. The Young Brothers and the remaining members, however, would regroup and re-emerge with new singer Brian Johnson in 1980, as well as a new album, "Back In Black". AC/DC, as we all know, went on to superstar status, but there are those that say the Bon Scott version will never surpassed.

This concert, originally captured for the King Biscuit Flower Hour, is classic Scott era AC/DC, and one of the few professional live recordings that includes material from "Highway To Hell".

Opening with "Live Wire," the group barrels through many of their earlier classics, including: "Shot Down In Flames," "Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be," "Problem Child," "She's Got The Jack," "High Voltage," and a blistering 12-minute version of "Let There Be Rock." But, the real gems in this set are the songs from what was the current album, "Highway To Hell," and "If You Want Blood (You've Got It)"."

The concert took place on 16 October 1979 at the Towson State College in Towson, MD, and is about 76 minutes long. Quality audio of the entire show is available for streaming online, after free simple, registration, at this location.

AC/DC - Busy Recording New Album

Billboard are reporting that AC/DC are recording their first studio album in eight years with producer Brendan O'Brien . No release date has yet been announced for the Columbia project.

The news came via a Web post Link] from Supersuckers frontman Eddie Spaghetti, who said his own band's album is being delayed due to O'Brien engineer Billy Bowers' work with AC/DC. Bowers is producing the Supersuckers' as-yet-untitled disc.

" wants to make some last-minute tweaks and, well, he can't right now," Spaghetti wrote. "He's been detained by a little Australian band called, uh, AC/DC."

AC/DC is expected to tour in support of the album, with dates to be announced.

AC/DC - Video Posted Online

Original AC/DC singer Dave Evans' official web site has been updated with the video for AC/DC's "Can I Sit Next To You Girl" single. You can watch it here.

"Can I Sit Next To You Girl", featuring Dave Evans on vocals, was AC/DC's debut single. The clip was recorded around May 1974 for release on Australian national TV. It was taped at The Last Picture Show venue in Cronulla, Sydney, which was originally a movie theater before it became a rock venue. All the top acts, including AC/DC, would play there.

AC/DC had originally been a jeans-and-t-shirt type band, and to coincide with the release of the single, it was agreed that the band would wear some outrageous costumes ? including Angus with his schoolboy uniform ? to catch the attention of the industry and the fans.

AC/DC began a national tour just after filming the "Can I Sit Next To You Girl" video and backed up Lou Reed on a few shows in Melbourne and Adelaide.

"Can I Sit Next to You Girl" was voted the best Australian single of 1974.
