The Defiled - Play World's First Gig On A Floating Iceberg

After Metallica played in Antarctica, The Defiled turned a gigantic Iceberg into the most unlikely of gig venues in the Greenland Sea recently when Jägermeister Music UK invited the band to perform on top of the floating platform for the Jägermeister Ice Cold Gig - which sees artists put to the test as they perform in unconventional, ice cold conditions. Braving freezing temperatures and fast flowing ice, the group performed the special set to a host of locals from the nearby town of Kulusuk. The band played songs from their latest album Daggers. The Defiled - Join Nuclear Blast, Release New Song

London modern metal mob The Defiled have signed a worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast Entertainment, who will release their second album Daggers this summer and follow-up to their debut Grave Times. To whet the appetites of fans, the first song from the album, "Sleeper", will be released via iTunes today and the band has posted online a lyric video for the track.

Japanese Death metallers Defiled will be back on Season of Mist on next January 17th, 2011 (January 25th in the US) with their fourth full-length In Crisis.

In Crisis will be released as a digipak edition limited to the very first pressing.

Defiled - Releasing New Album In January

Seven years after their last collaboration, Season of Mist and Defiled are joining forces again! The label is pleased to welcome back the Japanese death metallers in the fold. Irashaimasu!

"Our long awaited new album, In Crisis is finally at hand", band leader Yusuke Sumita comments. "Since our previous effort Divination (released on Season of Mist in 2003), SOM have been waiting for a new Defiled album, so we are very proud to be back home on Season of Mist, the best label on this planet."

In Crisis, Defiled's fourth full-length, has been scheduled for a January 17th, 2011 (January 25th in the US) release. Expect nothing but pure technical & brutal death metal!
