The Old Dead Tree - New Album Title Announced
The following message was posted on The Old Dead Tree's official website:
"We can confirm that the title of The Old Dead Tree's new Album will be "The Water Fields". Full tracklisting will be revealed soon as well.
"The Water Fields" - an imaginary place where one finds refuge to escape from pain and everyday doubts... This will be a concept album about avoidance, kidding oneself, and the urge we have to hide from reality and to remain passive when we are on tenterhooks..."
The band is currently in the Stage One Studio, recording the new songs together with german producer Andy Classen! They will try to keep you informed about the whole recording/mixing/mastering process through their official website, forum and MySpace.

The Old Dead Tree - To Record New Album

"French Goth Metal act The Old Dead Tree will soon enter the Stage One Studio in Germany, to record their forthcoming album. The recording sessions will start on next June 3rd and last three weeks. Once again, the band decided to give trust to producer Andy "Master" Classen.
The band describes the new material as "a twisted and schizophrenic blend of evocative riffs and arrangements put together with an overload of sheer emotion. The new songs do widen the previous artistic borders without disavowing the typical musical identity of the band".
The Old Dead Tree's yet to be named third album is tentatively due for a worldwide release in autumn 2007, on Season of Mist. We will get you more details as soon as possible..."

The Old Dead Tree - Finds New Guitarist
French Gothic Metal band The Old Dead Tree have now gotten a replacement guitarist for Nicolas Chevrollier who left the band in May so he could take care of his family and newborn son. The band are happy to announce Gilles Moinet as new The Old Dead Tree guitarist. Gilles will make his on stage debut for The Old Dead Tree when the band play live on the 23rd September in Geneva (CH). He will then play in Lyon (FR) the next day.
Here is a comment by frontman Manuel Munoz: "Gilles has a deep sense of melody and brings the band new influences that foretell an even richer and more varied music than before. His will to come forward and his involvement in The Old Dead Tree give us the highest hopes regarding our forthcoming third album".

The Old Dead Tree - Looking For New Guitarist
Because of Nicolas Chevrollier's decision to leave the band, The Old Dead Tree is now looking for a new guitar player. If you are interested, please write to info@theolddeadtree.com with details about yourself, like your musical influences, bands you are/were involved in, live and studio experiences, etc, and of course the reason why you would like to join the band. The Old Dead Tree - Guitarist Leaves
During tonight's emotional show in Paris at the Locomotive, Nicolas Chevrollier (guitars) announced that he had to leave the band in order to take care of his family and of his son, who will be born in July.
The band will probably be looking for a replacement soon.
We wish Nicolas Chevrollier some great time with his family and good luck for the future and his new life.
