Enter My Silence - Albums Available For Streaming

Finnish melodic death metal band Enter My Silence have placed both of their acclaimed career full lenghts "Remotecontrolled Scythe" (2001) and "Coordinate: D1SA5T3R" (Feb. 2006) available as free streaming audio on their MySpace-site http://www.myspace.com/entermysilence!

Their music is a powerful mixture of melodicism and feel of e.g. early In Flames & Sentenced, the drive and aggression of the likes of Pantera & Machine Head, progressive elements and furious vocal work of Mika Lisitzin.

The band is currently on the lookout for a new label to work with in the future. Finnish label that released "Coordinate: D1SA5T3R" suffered some major setbacks and the (continuing) uncertainty of the situation forced Enter Mys Silence to break loose from the contract.

Candlemass - Officially Parts Ways With Messiah

Swedish doom metallers, Candlemass have posted the following extensive update via the band's homepage:

"You have heard the rumours and it is with a heavy heart we must make this official. The band have tried to solve the situation several times, but Messiah cannot be persuaded to sing on the new album. His attitude and demands are way too unreasonable.
I'm very sorry about this, not surprised though.
We have all been very disappointed with Messiahs behaviour during the previous years reunion, especially with his childish and undemocratic way to "discuss" matters before the may recording at Polar in Stockholm. It's not cool when one person refuses to listen to other people, don't give a shit about his bandmates and demands special treatment.
Sure, a little bit of primadonna vices is allowed in a band. But when it comes to the extent that its "my way or the highway" in every little discussion that comes up, it is not fun anymore. We like the thought of five equal metalheads playing together, having fun in the rehearsalroom, at gigs etc. That's the whole point of it if you ask us. Unfortunately negativity and stupidity have been dictating the rules for Candlemass lately.

We hope you all can understand how disappointed we are. And angry! Disappointed with the fact that a grown man can behave so badly towards others - his friends - and for such a long time. And so easily, when he doesn't get everything he wants, throws it all away. We're still in chock! We never thought it was possible for somebody in this great band to have such a bad attitude towards his bandmates!
We are also angry that we have bought the shit for so long. Been fucked over so much, so many times since the reunion 2002. It's really shameful!
It only took a couple of gigs to understand that Messiah wasn't back to make friends, so we have fought hard to keep this together for you - our fans. It's been a rough ride, but when you stand in front of 200 or 2000 or even 20 000 screaming fans it's worth all trouble.

And yes, it was close that last album didn't include Messiah, but we made it happen because we love this music and we love that you guys love us!! But it was the last album with Messiah Marcolin on vocals. We can't deal with the big man anymore. Sorry!!
We tried to reason with him before the recording of the new one but Messiahs behaviour was beyond the acceptable. Mr Marcolin has been too much to take and the reasons behind his departure from Candlemass are not very flattering for him. No details, sorry....too embarrassing.......

Enthroned - Parts Ways With Singer

Guitarist Nornagest posted the following on the bands official website:
"On October 19th 2006, the decision was taken that longtime vocalist Sabathan won't be a part of Enthroned anymore. It was time to choose whether we would go on like this and lead Enthroned to a certain death or whether it will continue in its original perspectives.

To make a long story short; Sabathan isn't interested nor have conviction in our faith (black metal here so to speak) anymore, and for the last two years we were not able to practice nor to write music in a decent way.

Now, for those who would wonder if Enthroned will continue without Sabathan, the answer is definitely: YES! I wrote 90% of the music and lyrics since 'Towards the Skullthrone of Satan' and my devotions are still the same for all those years. We are working now on the next opus with a new member which will be presented in the next months."

The whole statement can be read here

Wintersun - To Mix New Album In May

Wintersun's drummer Kai Hahto has issued the following update:

"We have to inform you that the last three shows which were in Sweden and Norway are not going to happen in the upcoming European tour. Amon Amarthare heading straight from Europe to support Children Of Bodom in their American tour and this is the reason. We are very sorry for this but it wasn't in our hands and we hope to play some Scandinavian shows in the near future. Also the Ragnarok festival that was supposed to be in May 2007 is cancelled.

"The reason for cancelling this festival is because we have booked Sonic Pump studios to mix the new album with Nino Laurenne in May 2007. The schedule for releasing the second album, 'Time', hasn't been able to hold for many reasons and some of them has been really delaying and slowing down the recording process. And when the recording couldn't finish in the schedule also the mixing had to be cancelled and re-scheduled. Jari is still working very hard to finish the album and to make the best possible second release for Wintersun.

"The release date is now planned to be somewhere in August 2007 but I promise that the wait will be worth it! We are very sorry for this delay! Have patience."

Vomitory - To Enter Studio In December

Swedish brutal death metallers, Vomitory will enter Leon Music Studios outside Karlstad, Sweden on December 3 to begin recording their sixth album. The band's statement goes as follows:

"This time we'll work with producer Rikard Löfgren, who is the founder/owner of Leon Music," the band said in a statement. "Rikard Löfgren is still a pretty unfamiliar name within the death metal scene. He mostly works with more commercial music but he is a great producer and has his roots in metal. We know the guy since ages and we have great confidence in him."
It's going to feel strange to do a new Vomitory album not working with our sidekick Henrik Larsson, but we feel it's time to try something new. Since Vomitory isn't exactly an experimental band, we feel that working in a new studio with a new producer is a good way of renewing the band. We have two weeks for the recording and one week of mix and mastering."

The as-yet-untitled CD is scheduled for release at the end of April 2007 through Metal Blade Records.
