Bay Area thrashers Vio-lence have released a new digital single: "California Uber Alles", a cover version of the Dead Kennedys classic. The band also filmed a video for the song, directed and produced by Scott Kirkeeng. "California Uber Alles" was engineered and recorded by Christian Olde Wolbers, mixed by Christian Olde Wolbers and Wesley Seidman, and mastered by Wesley Seidman.

Thrash metal veterans Vio-lence have parted ways with guitarist Ray Vegas, who was part of the band's revival a year ago. Furthermore, Vio-lence are announcing former Overkill guitar player Bobby Gustafson as fill-in for upcoming shows. The band will perform in Puerto Rico this weekend as a 4 piece and Bobby will start later in February when the band goes to Japan/Australia/New Zealand.

Vio-lence singer Sean Killian has underwent a successful liver transplant surgery earlier this week. The vocalist went under the knife on Monday at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), after his brother-in-law Kevin Rivero served as a liver donor. Both are recovering well at UCSF in the ICU.
