British doom/death metallers My Silent Wake have recently premiered a new track. In case you didn't know, they are releasing a new album called There Was Death, due out on the 18th February via Minotauro Records, which they promise will be heavy and aggressive. Wintersun - Launch Video For 'Awaken From The Dark Slumber (Spring)'

Finnish Wintersun just dropped their highly anticipated record, The Forest Seasons. No full song or video had been released so far, but on the day of release, the lyric video for the 14-minute epic "Awaken From The Dark Slumber (Spring)" was launched on Jari Mäenpää's personal YouTube channel. The Forest Seasons consists of four lengthy tracks that reflect - as the name implies - the four seasons. Spring being the first. Check out the song below.

System Of A Down - Announce Wake Up The Souls Tour

While System Of A Down haven't released a new album since 2005's Hypnotize and Mezmerize, they continue to tour and perform live. Next year, the group will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide with their Wake Up The Souls Tour, commencing on April 10th and concluding with their first-ever performance in Armenia with a free show in Yerevan's Republic Square. My Silent Wake - Announce New Label And New Album

UK death/doom band My Silent Wake have just signed a record/management deal with House of Ashes in Italy. My Silent Wake are working on their next album to be released next year. Recent additions to the band are the drummer Gareth Arlett (also of Amputated) and a reunion with Kate Hamilton who has switched from bass to keys.

Decapitated - Covan Wake The Fuck Up Tour 2012 Dates Announced

The final line-up for the charity Covan Wake The Fuck Up Tour 2012 has been announced. 33 bands representing the Polish rock-metal scene will take part in the charity tour to aid Adrian "Covan" Kowanek (ex-Decapitated singer), the victim of a tragic car accident in late 2007.

The following bands will perform in the 10 biggest cities in Poland: Hunter, Decapitated, Frontside, Virgin Snatch, Chainsaw, Corruption, Trauma, Thy Disease, Quo Vadis (POL), Parricide, Masachist, Neolith, Anal Stench, Made Of Hate, Totem, Ciryam, Butelka, Deivos, Milczenie Owiec, Alastor, Calm Hatchery, Beheading Machine, The Sixpounder, Heart Attack, Ogotay, Redemptor, Lostbone, Thrasher Death, Devon and Empatic.

Rwake - New Album Cover Art Unveiled

Rest, the new forthcoming album of US sludge doom metallers Rwake will be released in North America on September 27th through Relapse Records. The cover artwork can be seen below.

The follow-up to 2007's Voices Of Omens was recorded at Engine Studios in Chicago, Illinois with noted engineer Sanford Parker. Rest will be released on CD, as a digital download and LP pressed on olive green and 180-gram black vinyl.

My Silent Wake - Have A New Video Online

UK doomsters My Silent Wake have revealed a home-made video for one of their new songs "Death Becomes Us", as can be watched below. The song comes off the band's new effort IV Et Lux Perpetua, released just yesterday (29 October). You can find more information about the album in our news archive.

As reported earlier today, the band will embark on a short European with In Vain in a few days. Dates are available here. This will mark My Silent Wake's last tour with drummer/vocalist Jasen Whyte, who'll be leaving the band at the end of the year.

Here's the full message of the band: "Andi and Jasen will be playing on the tour. Andi did not need the break from the band that was reported a few months ago. These will be Jasen's last performances due to him leaving at the end of the year. Tank will be drumming and me (Ian Arkley) and Kate will be playing as usual."
