Going through the guest list, it seems it got slimmer comparing to the previous Avantasia releases, anyway I curious who is going to play guitars....

Probably Sascha Paeth again, maybe Arjen Lucassen as well.

I don't think smaller so much as just...kinda forgettable. =/

Maybe the final product will change my opinion though. Eh.

This is not the final guest list, as far as I understand. They reveal a new guest once a week.

Yes, they have announced new guests every week so there's potential for that guest list to grow exponentially.

Patrick.
So far I like the fact that they don't rehash the same vocalist-lineup but instead offer the spots to other talents. Lande, for instance, was such a big part of The Wicked Trilogy and really had his fair share of tunes. If Kiske is the only one returning for another go then I won't be sad. Have to admit I do hope for one or two of the bigger baddies to be announced (Dickinson, Halford, Kürsch, Barlow, *Others: fill in your all-time favorites here*) as the line-up revealed so far seems a wee bit underwelming in terms of the kinda' names you'd expect perhaps. In the end though it's the music itself and the quality that matters like Metal Invader said. Two ballads, and two 10+ minute lengthy tracks, plus we've heard the sample with the orchestra and Kiske wailing on top of some Melodic Metal glory once again... These things are nothing but positive!
